TINHIH’s annual signature event, Black Monday is a public education forum that includes a celebration of life, carnation memorial, resource fair and fundraiser. Since 2013, the event has been held on a Monday (closest to Valentine’s Day) to remember loved ones impacted by the opioid crisis. For five years, the event was held at the Salvation Army Chapel starting with 175 attendees and growing beyond capacity of 450 guests. This event is open to the public and free of charge.
