This John Berg Memorial page is dedicated to the memory of John Berg II. This reminder of how precious a mother’s love is for her child. Patti has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the local chapter of There is No Hero in Heroin (TINHIH), so that John’s death may not be in vain. It is her hope that by donating to TINHIH, other addicts may live and find recovery. Saving another family from the grief she has experienced is her goal. To date, TINHIH has granted 24 one-month rent vouchers to newly recovering addicts for local sober living homes in the Las Vegas valley. It is TINHIH’s belief, 30 days of clean/sober living will help build a foundation for someone who is new to recovery. Read Patti’s words below.
John Berg II was born on July 16, 1985. He was a cherished son, a determined father, and a great friend to many people. He has gained his angel wings and was called to heaven on August 19, 2016 at the age of 31.
John was a Las Vegas native. He attended Eldorado High School and graduated from Green Valley High School. John had also been a student at the University of Reno.
In the wake of his unexpected death, he has left behind 3 beautiful kids Mikayla, John III “Trey” and Jase.
John struggled with addiction for several years and had been clean for 11 months. He was overpowered and lost his fight against the addiction which was his last.
His smile and his laugh were contagious – he will be forever in our hearts.
With my sincere thanks to all who join me and my family in supporting the local Las Vegas Chapter of “THERE IS NO HERO IN HERION”
